2018 Buick Enclave Teased: The Redesigned Crossover is Ready For The New York Auto Show Debut

Buick’s mid-size crossover has been introduced almost 10 years ago, which makes it a living dinosaur among other sweet, young, and luxurious mid-size crossovers. Still, this will change pretty soon, because the carmaker has scheduled the arrival of the completely redesigned model. According to them, the 2018 Buick Enclave will be introduced at the 2017 New York International Auto Show and will be available for sale sometime later, most likely this fall.

2018 Buick Enclave Features

The carmaker released a single teaser sketch and nothing more about the upcoming SUV. This leaves no space for us to find out the exact details, yet judging by the sketch, the 2018 Buick Enclave will be a lot more interesting crossover from today’s model. The future high-riding vehicle is getting very aggressive headlights with LED lighting of course, and waterfall grille. We can’t see the rest of the car, yet some reports indicate that the new crossover should be influenced by the amazing LaCrosse. This will make the 2018 Buick Encore very handsome and attractive to younger drivers without any doubt. Read More

Except it’s getting a completely redesigned exterior and interior with more upscale treatment, the new generation Enclave will also boost its performance. The car manufacturer will use a new platform, so-called C1XX, which underpins the new Acadia and Traverse. The platform won’t make Buick’s mid-size crossover bigger or smaller, but it will shed some weight and thus improve fuel economy. The vehicle will most likely arrive with two engines available. It will keep the 3.6-liter V6 unit, which will pump out 281 horsepower and will get a four-cylinder option for the first time. The 2.0-liter mill will be able to deliver 255 ponies and 295 pound-feet of twist and will be paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission. The producer will keep the drive options open, so you will be able to choose between the base and cheaper front-wheel drive and optional and more expensive all-wheel drive.
