2019 Audi A1 Spotted Uncovered: Redesign, Engines, Arrival, Features

This is not the first time we’ve caught a prototype of the all-new 2019 Audi A1, but it’s definitely the first time we saw the completely uncovered vehicle. The awesome five-door hatchback appears to be ready for its debut, so we suppose that the carmaker plans to break covers before the summer.

Aside from it looks really amazing the vehicle is also fitted with the latest features, which will make it essentially better from the predecessor. The hatchback rides on a version of MQB architecture, which will increase the rigidity of the car and will reduce its curb weight. However, the most important detail is definitely a bit larger footprint, because thus the car gets some extra space for its passengers.

The 2019 Audi A1 looks like a hot chocolate that’s ready to be consumed. The front-end styling is simply gorgeous because of honeycomb grille, hexagonal frame, and an aggressive bumper. Those air intakes won’t really suck any air, because they are fakes. Still, regardless of the fact, the hatch looks amazing. The aggressive looks continue around back where the vehicle hosts a roof spoiler and impressive 3D taillights. Even though it’s completely uncovered, the new-generation A1 doesn’t show what’s going on inside. Still, we are pretty sure that the hatchback hosts Virtual Cockpit instruments and Audi’s latest active-safety technology.

The German car manufacturer simply enjoys to offers as many engines as it’s possible. This is going to be the case with the 2019 Audi A1 as well. The starting model will exploit a turbocharged 1.0-liter inline-three mill for sure. Though, if you need more than the starting 115 horsepower, you can always get a 1.5-liter TFSI that produces 150 hp, or even a 2.0-liter turbo that pumps out 200 ponies. The all-wheel-drive system will be optional for most of the options, but it will be standard with a hybrid drivetrain, which is also in the plans.

Audi is also working on the S1 model, which will be motivated by a more potent engine. Still, the topper won’t become available before the new-gen Audi A1 arrives.
