2022 CADILLAC ESCALADE WILL GET SOME IMPORTANT CHANGES INSIDE, OUT AND UNDER THE HOOD

Cadillac will definitely introduce the refreshed Escalade in 2018. At least our insider claims that. The flagship SUV won’t get just the usual cosmetic tweaks, but some serious improvements inside and under the hood. Allegedly, the car manufacturer decided to bring so serious upgrades due to the arrival of the new generation Lincoln Navigator, which is coming in 2022

New Infotainment and Entertainment

The 2022 Cadillac Escalade will get the biggest changes inside. Aside from the expected styling tweaks, better materials, and new upholstery, the fascinating SUV will also get several really important technology upgrades. The carmaker already announced it will add new generation infotainment across the complete lineup, so it won’t leave the refreshed Escalade without that for sure. In addition, the automaker is also working on the all-new entertainment system that is gonna have incomparably better features. The new devices like Apple TV Google, Chromecast, and Amazon Fire TV Stick will enable a number of available sites, so they will be able to view YouTube, Hulu, and Netflix. The 2022 Escalade will also sport a bigger touchscreen that will be placed in the center of the dash, as well as one smaller for the instrument cluster. Cadillac currently works on some kind of semi-autonomous drive system, and we strongly believe it will be available with the updated full-sizer.

Since we haven’t managed to catch any testing model, we can’t say what’s going to be new on the exterior. However, the 2021 Cadillac Escalade will undergo a mid-cycle refresh, which mostly brings just some tweaks on the ends. We believe it will happen this time too.

More Power, New Engine

While the current model has a sole powertrain, the 2019 Escalade will offer at least two engines. The base model will continue to use a 6.2-liter engine, which will likely get some additional ponies and better fuel economy. The MPG numbers should be boosted with a start-stop technology that isn’t available at the moment. The SUV will get an all-new optional twin-turbo, 4.2-liter V-8 mill. According to our sources, the unit will produce at least 500 hp, but it will be able to develop up to 600 horses. This option is rumored to come with the 2019 Cadillac Escalade V. The iconic SUV will also get a new 10-speed automatic gearbox, which will additionally improve the performance.

Cadillac’s updated SUV will probably keep its starting price around $74K, but the range-topping model may easily go over $100K.
