2019 Range Rover Velar SVR: New Spy Shots and Fresh Info

Land Rover hasn’t released any information regarding the SVR-based Velar so far, but regardless of the fact, we’ve managed to find out pretty much everything about the upcoming vanilla SUV. First of all, the 2019 Range Rover Velar SVR will make debut either later this year in Los Angeles, or in early 2019 at NAIAS.

No matter when and where the coupe-SUV arrives, it will definitely make a lot of noise thanks to its attractive design and because of an awesome and pretty mighty beast under the hood. You don’t have to be a genius to find out what’s going to run the wheels, as the topper has to get the most potent engine available. That’s the amazing supercharged 5.0-liter V8, of course. The powerful mill will most probably produce 575 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. The engine will be paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, which will feed all four wheels at the same time. The 2019 Velar SVR will have a special suspension, while you can also expect a standard anti-roll system.

Styling-wise, the 2019 Range Rover Velar SVR will not differ overly in comparison to its regular sibling. Upfront, the topping coupe-SUV will have identical grille and headlights, but totally different and more massive front bumper with enlarged air intakes. The rear end also gets a restyled bumper with an integrated diffuser. The model will ride on larger wheels which will be fitted with special performance-oriented tires and pretty big brakes. We are pretty sure that the automaker prepares some changes for the cabin as well, so you can expect at least new sports seats and steering wheel, as well as a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
