2019 Suzuki Vitara: Changes, Refresh, New Engine, Arrival

Suzuki is constantly trying to catch the train for the future, but they are somehow always late. Still, we can’t say that the car manufacturer isn’t giving its best and that we don’t see the progress. They are just late, but that’s okay as they are trying. The current Vitara has been introduced some three years ago and now is getting its first changes. The updated model will probably arrive before the end of this year as the 2019 Suzuki Vitara. The SUV will host mostly cosmetic changes, though the carmaker is also reconsidering one all-new option under the hood.

If they really decided not to continue with the 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engine, the perfect replacement for the mill would be a new 1.0-liter turbodiesel. The small yet turbo BoosterJet compact Baleno and turned out to be a really good option. On the other hand, the carmaker will not get rid of the 1.6-liter diesel. No, the oil-burner will survive this time. This refers to the 1.4-liter turbocharged unit, which will continue to be the most suitable option for the crossover.

Although we have no interior picture, we’ve managed to see what’ hiding inside. The refreshed Vitara will feature just a slightly updated dashboard and nothing else. The production version of the SUV could also host a new upholstery and that’s going to be pretty much everything.

Outside, on the other hand, the 2019 Suzuki Vitara will offer an updated front end with a redesigned and definitely a bit larger bumper, which will host a restyled air intake system. In addition, the manufacturer could re-tweak the grille, while the production model should feature a pair of new graphics for the headlights. Around back, the 2019 Vitara will have just an updated bumper and nothing more.

The crossover will arrive worldwide late this year. Just don’t expect the 2019 Suzuki Vitara in North America because this is not going to happen soon.
