Bentley is working on yet another Bentayga SUV. The testing prototype, however, is not any Bentayga, but the fastest ever. How do we know this? Well, the spotted vehicle sits closer to the ground thanks to a special suspension tune. In the rear, the model that’s going to be called the 2020 Bentley Bentayga Speed gets oval exhaust tips and this points out what’s going to power the mighty beast.
The 2020 Bentayga Speed is going to use a W-12 unit without any doubt. To be more precise, the SUV gets an uprated 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged engine that currently delivers 600 horsepower. Thanks to certain software and hardware improvements, the mill will squeeze additional 50 ponies. With 650 hp in total, the SUV will be able to accelerate from 0 to 60 in around 3.8 seconds. Top speed will be pushed forth to 190 mph, though.
The 2020 Bentley Bentayga Speed will not suffer any too drastic changes on the exterior. Judging by the spy shots from Motorauthority.com, the high-performance SUV is going to get a new front fascia with larger air intakes and extended splitter. Look back and you will realize that the vanilla model gets a special roof-mounted spoiler and a new diffuser. New side skirts seem to be chunky, and that’s pretty much everything regarding the exterior changes.
According to the latest reports, the 2020 Bentley Bentayga Speed will be introduced this spring. The high-performance SUV will hit showrooms before the end of the year. The automaker hasn’t revealed any pricing info so far, but bearing in mind that the model is going to be the biggest competitor of the Lamborghini Urus, the price should mirror the rival’s cost.
