2021 Hyundai Tucson N Coming With 340 Horsepower Under The Hood

According to Auto Express, Hyundai is working on a new N high-riding model. In addition to the Kona N that has been officially confirmed already, the Korean car manufacturer will offer one more vanilla crossover. The larger hot SUV is under development as we speak and will be ready sometime next year as the 2021 Hyundai Tucson N.

The 2021 Tucson N will reportedly feature an impressive powertrain. The automaker hasn’t released any details regarding the engine so far, yet we’ve found out that the crossover is getting a brand new mill. The mill will allegedly be a four-cylinder and will use turbocharging technology. It will most probably feature 2.3-liter capacity and will be capable of delivering 340 horsepower. Although the output seems unreachable for a four-cylinder unit, it’s quite possible to happen thanks to new technologies. In any case, we will see what’s happening in the coming months. According to the first estimates, by using the engine, the 2021 Hyundai Tucson N will be able to move fast, which is basically the original idea, isn’t it? The crossover should have a 0-60mph time under 6 seconds. Taking into account that the Veloster N goes faster with less power, the time seems doable, don’t you think?

In addition to the powerful option beneath the hood, the Korean car manufacturer will have to do something with exterior and interior designs. Aside from it’s definitely getting an N letter in the front the hot crossover will also feature different (larger) air intakes and new (more) exhaust pipes. Hyundai will push it closer to the ground for sure, while we also expect special suspension and larger brakes for bigger wheels. The cabin will most probably come fitted with sports seats and steering wheel.

So far, the Tucson was interfering in Rav4’s and Mazda CX-5’s piece of the market, but with the N letter on its face, the crossover will disturb models like the Ford Edge ST, 296-hp Seat Cupra Ateca, as well as the amazing Germans (Mercedes, BMW, and Audi offer the high-performance compact crossovers).
