A prototype of the refreshed 2019 Audi TT has been spotted today while it was testing its new features. The amazing roadster appears to feature updated ends and sides, as well as some minor changes inside. We can’t guarantee whether there is going to be any kind of change under the hood, but according to the latest reports, the German carmaker could tweak both performance and economy.

The sports car is currently relying on a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 and a 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-5. The first one delivers 220 horsepower under the hood of the regular TT and 292 hp with the TTS model. The updated version might boost both figures for around five percent. At the end, the topping TT RS’ 400 horsepower five-cylinder mill will likely stay untouched. The potent engine doesn’t really need any additional power at the moment, plus it’s mated to the amazing seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox and all-wheel-drive system.

The exterior changes will be pretty modest, but that’s okay because the current model looks awesome already. The front end is going to feature a pair of refreshed headlights. More precisely, LED running lights are repositioned to the very top. Both bumper and the lower part of the hood are wearing camouflage, but we don’t see anything different. It’s pretty much the same story around back. The taillights are also featuring rearranged LEDs, while the bumper seems to sport a bit more aggressive design. The low sides of the 2019 Audi TT are also covered up with the thin camo, so there might be some slight changes over there, too. Even though the prototype doesn’t point out that, the production model will definitely feature new wheel patterns.

We haven’t seen the new cab this time. However, you can expect to find out an updated infotainment system and new upholstery treatment. Audi may add some new driving aids too, as well as more standard safety equipment.

The facelifted version of the 2019 Audi TT is going to be introduced in the second half of 2018, so there is plenty of time to find out more information about the roadster.
