Redesigned 2018 Kia Ceed Spied: Looks Larger And More Aggressive

While Volkswagen plans to introduce just a refreshed 2018 Golf, one of the biggest rivals in the segment works on the new generation model. Yes, the South Korean car manufacturer has the intention to bring a completely redesigned 2018 Kia Ceed. The interesting hatchback has been spied totally camouflaged, so we have no all the details.

However, we are pretty sure that the new generation Ceed gets completely new measures. The car is noticeably larger from the predecessor, which will definitely enable more space inside. Moreover, the wider yet lowered body looks more dynamic, which will definitely attract a bigger number of younger buyers.

Performance-wise, a naturally-aspirated 1.4-liter with 98 hp (73 kW) and 99 lb-ft (134 Nm) is going to power the base model, but you can choose an optional turbocharged three-cylinder 1.0-liter unit with 118 horsepower and 125 pound-feet of torque. There is a big possibility of the high-performance Ceed, which might use a 2.0-liter turbo engine with 245 horsepower.

Despite some reports indicate that the new generation Kia Ceed may appear at the 2017 Geneva auto show, we think it will come sometime later. The prototype is spied for the first time and looks pretty unready, so let’s say it will debut at the next-year Paris motor show.
