Lexus’s third three-row SUV is almost ready. We know that because we managed to catch a production-ready prototype just a few months ahead of its official debut. After Toyota’s luxury division introduced three-row GX and LX SUVs, they have decided to add the option inside of the smallest RX. The 2018 Lexus RX three-row will reportedly be introduced at this year’s Los Angeles auto show.

The vehicle will be introduced along with a regular RX because both will suffer a mid-cycle refresh. As you can see here, the front end styling is pretty much the same as earlier. The crossover will feature a redesigned grille, perhaps a pair of new headlights, and nothing more. The biggest changes are in the back. There will be no drastic changes under the hood for sure. The 2018 Lexus RX three-row will likely feature a gasoline 3.5-liter V6 engine, which currently delivers 295 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque. The producer might push the output over 300 ponies, but that’s not officially confirmed yet.
