2018 Nissan 370z Confirmed For 2017 Frankfurt Auto Show

This year’s Frankfurt auto show will host Nissan’s sports car. Now, in normal circumstances, we would be excited about the news, but knowing that the vehicle had its official premiere in 2008, our enthusiasm suddenly subsides. The 2018 Nissan 370Z looks really good, but the design tweaks are really minor. Moreover, the only thing worth mentioning is a new clutch and nothing more.

The 2018 Nissan 370Z will keep its 3.7-liter V6 engine unchanged. The mill will continue to deliver 324 horsepower (328 PS), which will power rear wheels only through either a six-speed manual or a 7-speed automatic transmission. The new Exedy-developed high-performance clutch is reserved for the manual gearbox only. According to the carmaker, the system delivers greater levels of gear change precision by reducing driver pedal effort.

That’s not all. The sports car is also featuring a new NissanConnect Premium infotainment system, which uses a 7.0-inch touchscreen to host a number useful systems like satellite navigation, a rearview camera, and a DVD player. The exterior stole Nismo-based tinted lights, as well as black door handles and rear bumper. Nissan added a new Red Metallic paint which fits perfectly with the sports car. From now on, the 2018 370Z will also get new 19-inch alloy wheels.

Even though someone may find the car attractive and interesting, we have to say that Nissan must introduce the successor very soon. As we have heard, they might introduce the concept version at the upcoming 2017 Tokyo Motor Show, and the latest rumors suggest it’s going to be named the 390Z.
