The solution is quite simple and maybe very good because the Qashqai is currently one of the best-selling European Nissans. The only thing that the manufacturer may reconsider to change is the name. We are pretty sure that the vast majority of Americans can’t pronounce accurately “Qashqai”, and this is bad for business.

The US Nissan Qashqai will definitely appear without diesel engines. In Europe, the crossover gets 1.5-liter and 1.6-liter diesel, but this is too much for Americans. The producer will rather offer the existing gasoline mill, which is a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated and 1.2-liter turbo, and perhaps one more, more powerful unit.
