The 2018 Suzuki Jimny won’t be as capable as it will be the new Wrangler or as luxurious as the next-generation G-class, but it will keep its distinctive off-road suit. It’s pretty obvious that Suzuki won’t give up on Jimny’s usual shape. The off-road SUV will stay boxy and without a single aerodynamic line. The front end will feature a pretty simple design with an unattractive bumper and a pair of round headlights. The bumper sports a mesh air intake, while the idea for the grille appears to be taken from the Wrangler. Around back, the new generation Suzuki Jimny looks even more retro, especially because of the spare tailgate-mounted spare wheel. The 2018 Suzuki Jimny will reportedly continue to feature a body-on-frame chassis and a solid rear axle. The SUV will also employ the Allgrip Pro 4×4 system and a series of small engines. A base 0.66-liter turbo won’t be as impressive as a turbocharged 1.0-liter BoosterJet three-cylinder unit, but it will do the job without any doubt.
