2019 BMW X7 M50i Spy Shots and Performance Details

You probably know already that  2019 BMW X7 M50i is building its first-ever full-size SUV. The three-row vehicle is going to be ready before the end of the year and will see the light of day in 2018. Los Angeles Auto Show in November. Now, regardless of the fact that there’s still plenty of time before the official debut, the future X7 looks ready already.

No, because the carmaker has a plan to build the M50i Performance version and the M model in the future and the testing vehicle has a couple of give-away details. The mild performance model will arrive together with the base model in November, while the M won’t be available before mid-2019, which means that we are probably looking into the 2019 BMW X7 M50i.

The M Performance flagship sports a different nose from its regular buddy. There’s a totally different front bumper with larger and V-shaped air intake and an active grille which enables big kidneys to be drag-free when is needed. The feature is active at high speed. Then the active shutters block the airflow. In addition, the M50i rides on bigger wheels which are paired with special, performance tires and blue brake calipers, which are characteristic for all crossovers. Around back, the SUV hosts some slight differences as well. The biggest change in the rear is basically squared-off exhaust tips with a notch at the very bottom, which is one more detail typical for M Performance models.

The amazing Biturbo will probably produce over 450 horsepower, which will be sent to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.
