2019 Ford F-Series Super Duty Spied Refreshed

After they updated the best-selling F-150 the guys from Blue Oval have decided to deal with the bigger 2019 Ford F-Series Super Duty. More precisely, the truck you see here is the biggest and the most expensive F-450 model.

As you may notice, the large pickup truck isn’t getting any revolutionary changes at all. Instead, the car manufacturer has decided to do some modest, mostly cosmetic improvements. The front end appears to have a redesigned fascia along with a pair of new headlights and updated and lower vents. The vehicle hides the rear end as well, so let’s say the truck is getting refreshed taillights and perhaps a new bumper.

Even though the car manufacturer did not bother to hide the refreshed interior, we haven’t managed to catch what’s new. However, the big truck will likely host an updated dashboard and improved infotainment, along with a few touches across the dashboard and upholstery.

There are several possible scenarios of what might happen under the hood of the big vehicle. The carmaker might either add just a new 10-speed automatic transmission and nothing more, or they could also add an all-new V8 mill. In both cases, the updated 2019 F-450 will feature better fuel economy numbers due to the new gearbox.

Today’s model is equipped with a 6.2-liter gas V8 that produces 385 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque and 6.7-liter diesel option delivers 440 hp and 925 lb-ft. While we have no idea what Ford plans to do with the gasoline mill, we know that the oil-burner truck has pretty great chances to get all 1,000 pound-feet of twist from the updated version of the V8 diesel. The prototype of the 2019 Ford F-Series Super Duty has been caught near the automaker’s headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan. If the carmaker decided to add a new engine or transmission, it needs to make some additional tests, and we will be there to catch another prototype, so stay tuned for updates.
