Judging by the information we have, the 2019 Range Rover Velar SVR will be one tough SUV. In contrast to the regular Velar that can’t deliver more than 380 ponies, the high-end model is going to get a real monster under the hood. It’s a 5.0-liter supercharged V8, the same one that currently powers Jaguar’s impressive F-Pace SVR. Now, some reports indicate that the Land Rover’s SUV won’t have more than 500 horsepower, but we are pretty sure it’s going to get all available power, which is around 575 horsepower. Of course, all-wheel drive will be standard, as well as an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

The exterior styling of the 2019 Land Rover Range Rover Velar SVR won’t differ too much from the regular model. At least the spy shots suggest that. The topping SUV appears to have a bit redesigned front and rear ends and new wheels, while everything else stays untouched. The prototype shows no changes on the headlights, but the production model might come up with something new. Yes, the manufacturer will likely change LEDs with laser-matrix technology.

The prototype still hides the interior, but we are sure there will some changes as well. After all, the carmaker won’t miss the chance to add sports seats, better leather, and more standard tech.
