2019 Rolls Royce Cullinan Suv Spotted Testing, Interior Spied For The First Time

Rolls-Royce’s hot cake is almost ready. The manufacturer has to wait for a few months before the Cullinan SUV hits the showrooms. Still, don’t get too excited if you don’t have at least $250,000, or even more. The British carmaker hasn’t set the starting price yet, but the latest reports claim that the vehicle can’t cost less from the figure. Moreover, there are opinions that the 2019 Rolls Royce Cullinan may even be priced at $350,000. Either way, I am short, so I don’t really care about the price.

Beneath the hood

It’s pretty clear that the 2019 Cullinan SUV has to be the perfect vehicle. Engine-wise, well, I am not sure is it perfect, but I know it’s the best in every sense of the word. The SUV will use an amazing and pretty huge new twin-turbocharged 6.6-liter V-12. The mill will likely produce 563 horsepower and staggering 664 lb-ft of torque, though some reports indicate that the manufacturer might tune the engine to pump out all 600 horsepower. I say maybe but probably not, because the manufacturer is working on a more potent plug-in hybrid version, which will make its debut later. Anyway, the powerful V-12 will be mated to an updated eight-speed auto transmission and all-wheel drive. Yes, Rolls-Royce will add AWD for the first time.

Platform and Styling

As you can see, the SUV will have good motivation beneath the hood. However, that’s not everything that matters here. No, the 2019 Rolls Royce Cullinan will host an aluminum-intensive architecture, which will keep the curb weight as much as it’s possible. It’s basically the same architecture as Phantom’s, but it’s going to be a little bit shorter.

Exteriors styling is covered with camouflage, so I am not so sure what’s cooking. As far as I think, there will be plenty of Phantom’s styling cues, especially in the front. Though, the rear doors are featuring pretty interesting suicide treatment.

The SUV will have to have the most luxurious materials and plenty of premium features inside. Still, the resemblance between the sedan’s and SUV’s dashboard is so obvious. As for the infotainment system, it’s likely to be the upgraded BMW’s iDrive system. How upgraded? Well, that’s not familiar at the moment.
