2020 Buick LaCrosse Gets a Mid-Cycle Update

The current Buick LaCrosse has been introduced just a few years ago as the 2017 model and the car manufacturer makes certain changes already. More precisely, they are working on a mid-cycle facelift for the 2020 Buick LaCrosse.

Believe it or not, a testing prototype of the large sedan isn’t spied in North America. Instead, the manufacturer was doing tests abroad in Spain. Why? Well, we have no idea. Though, that’s not as important as the changes. As far as we see, the 2020 LaCrosse is going to have a totally new front and rear end. The thin camouflage in the front hides a bit sharper look with a new front bumper that hosts lower and larger air intake. The sedan seems to get a bit wider grille too, while the automaker won’t skip the chance to add a pair of restyled headlights. Around back, the refreshed Buick LaCrosse shows a redesigned bumper and new taillights, which appears to be temporary here. This suggests that the carmaker plans to add new backlights without any doubt.

The 2020 Buick LaCrosse will keep things untouched under the hood. The 2018 model got a mild hybrid option, so there’s no need for anything new. Regarding the hybrid, it combines a 2.5-liter inline-4 with a small electric motor-generator powered by a 0.45-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery. Being paired to 6-speed auto transmission, the system produces 194 hp and 187 pound-feet of torque.
