There are plenty of amazing hatchbacks, but we have to set aside our favorite. The sporty vehicle comes from Mercedes’ performance department and it’s getting a completely new design for the next year. Although totally covered with camouflage the new generation, 2019 Mercedes-AMG A45 Hatchback looks seems impressive already.
In case you don’t know, today’s model features a potent four-cylinder mill that pumps out 375 horsepower. As we have heard, the redesigned 2019 Mercedes-AMG A45 Hatchback will use the updated 2.0-liter turbo, which will be able to produce around 400 horsepower. The compact beast will stay loyal to the standard all-wheel drive and teamed up with a smooth-shifting nine-speed auto gearbox. Unofficially, the carmaker plans to push down a 0-60 mph below 4 seconds. On the other hand, hatch’s top speed should stay limited to 155 mph.
The new generation Mercedes-AMG A45 Hatchback will be lighter and larger from its predecessor. In addition, the sporty compact appears to be pushed lower to the ground and equipped with larger air intakes. AMG-specific Panamericana grille is definitely hidden beneath the camo, while the large wheels seem to have bigger brakes than before. The bulging front and rear fenders are terrifically shaped, but we would like to see just a little bit larger exhaust tips because the prototype uses some ridiculously small pipes.
The new interior won’t host the traditional center stack. Instead, the dash sports a pair of cool screens, which will be in charge for most of the things. Speaking of which, the hatchback will definitely feature more advanced electronic driver aids and Mercedes’ latest infotainment.
The 2019 Mercedes-AMG A45 Hatchback will be introduced next year, most likely in the second half of 2018.
