2021 Buick Envision Sports Some Cosmetic Changes

The 2021 Buick Envision has made its official debut, arriving with handsome exterior looks and a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine.

This new crossover, which rides on the same E2 platform as the Cadillac XT4, ushers in the second-generation of the Envision nameplate. While the crossover was previously set to receive the Enspire name, Buick later decided to stick with the tried and true Envision badge.

2021 Buick’s Envision SUV had been introduced to the North American public in January and went on sale this summer, so we were pretty confused today when we saw the camouflaged prototype. Yes, the carmaker already works on the facelifted version that’s going to be introduced sometime next year as the 2021 Buick Envision.

2021 Buick Envision Features

Judging by the spy shots, the 2021 Buick Envision will receive quite comprehensive cosmetic changes. The crossover SUV appears to feature a slimmer grille and larger headlights. The overall front fascia will be lowered, while the new bumper could add an even bigger air intake.

The testing model has nothing new on the sides, and moreover, the wheels are also unchanged. However, the rear end seems to have something redesigned. The hatch will stay pretty much the same, but the taillights and bumper should be revamped. In addition, the tailpipes will be changed as well. Oh yes, I almost forgot that their updated Envision is also getting a tri-shield badge, which will be painted in blue, red, and white.

Buick’s powertrain department won’t have some big job to do on the refreshed Envision. The crossover will likely continue to offer a base 2.5-liter naturally aspirated and an optional 2.0-liter turbo engine. The first one might be boosted a bit, so the entire output might go over 200 hp. On the other hand, the turbo mill will stay unchanged. You can expect the drivetrain with 252 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, all-wheel drive, and a six-speed auto gearbox. In case you want the front-wheel-drive model, you will have to settle with the base unit. Read More

Those cosmetic changes won’t have any influence on the price, so the refreshed 2021 Buick Envision should cost around $42K.
