2019 Volvo V60 Spotted Again, Should Be Ready For 2018 Geneva Motor Show

There’s a really big chance to see the next-generation Volvo V60 this Mach at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. The wagon has been spotted testing once again a few days ago, though, let’s be fair to say that it doesn’t look ready at all. Maybe we have this feeling because of the heavy camouflage, but it seems that the job isn’t done yet.

Anyway, judging by the latest spy shots, the outstanding wagon will share most of the new styling cues with the bigger V90. The resemblance is very obvious from the front because these two share the same headlights and grille designs. Plus, hood lines will probably be identical. It’s pretty much the same story around back. The rear hatch looks identical to the V90, while we expect to see the identical taillights as well.

Inside, the 2019 Volvo V60 will likely host the same dashboard design as the V90. The only real difference will reportedly be differently shaped air vents, while everything else should share with the larger sibling. This includes a new, fast, and easy-to-use 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment and a 12.3-inch gauge cluster, digital of course. The wagon could see some new things thanks to Volvo’s Garmin interior concept. More precisely, the Swedish automaker may add new controller dials. Volvo would not be what it surely is if the wagon would not offer a range of standard features. According to the latest reports, the new-generation V60 will offer standard sunroof, automated emergency braking, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, while a semi-autonomous driving mode should be available just as an option.

The car will reportedly share some powertrain options with the XC60 crossover. Volvo will definitely offer a T5 system, which includes a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with 250 horsepower. Next to it will be a T6 drivetrain, which is basically the 2.0-liter turbocharged and supercharged engine with the ability to produce 316 horsepower. The 2019 Volvo V60 will not be excluded from the carmaker’s electrification of course. In the country, it’s going to feature two plug-in hybrid units. The smaller hybrid will combine a 1.5-liter gasoline unit with an electric motor. We don’t really know anything more about the powertrain, but for the topping T8, the details are pretty clear. The vanilla flavor combines the aforementioned 2.0-liter super and turbo engine with an electric motor for the overall output of 400 horsepower.

If the all-new 2019 Volvo V60 really comes to the 2018 Geneva Motor Show we will be there to see what’s going, so stay tuned and we will inform you.
