2020 BMW iX3 Spotted Outside: This is What We Know So Far

2020 BMW iX3 has already announced the arrival of a few all-electric crossovers by the end of 2025, but we haven’t expected either of them as soon as it might happen. The prototype you see below is actually using the all-new battery technology and if everything goes without big problems, the vehicle is going to be introduced by the end of 2019. Meaning, the Bavarian car manufacturer is going to offer the 2020 BMW iX3 in early 2020.

The electric compact crossover looks pretty much the same as the gasoline sibling. Still, there are a few giveaways, which point out the electric nature of the car. Around back, the rear bumper has left out exhaust pipes, because the 2020 BMW iX3 won’t need them. In addition, the EV features a charging port at drivers’ side fender, while the flat battery appears to be beneath the vehicle.

BMW doesn’t want to reveal anything that regards the fifth-generation battery, so we don’t really know how well or bad it is going to be the 2020 BMW iX3. However, judging by some previous reports, the future electric vehicles from BMW should be ready to cross at least 400 miles on a single charge, which doesn’t sound bad at all.

Still, before that happens, you can either stick to the current options or wait just a little bit for the 2019 BMW X3 Plug-In Hybrid. The option will be ready before the end of this year and in dealerships early next year. It’ going to combine a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and a small electric motor.
