2018 Suzuki Xbee: Info, Pictures, Specs, and Price

Even though it isn’t originally planned to be sold just home in Japan, the 2018 Suzuki Xbee may go worldwide. Of course, the worldwide sale excludes North America as always, which is too bad, because the subcompact would definitely be an interesting option to the U.S. public. No, the crossover isn’t providing anything extraordinary or something we haven’t seen so far, but it’s a hybrid high-riding vehicle, which costs around $15,600 at current exchange rates and the price sounds really fair.

Powertrain and Off-road Kit

The 2018 Suzuki Xbee isn’t offering any too complicated hybrid powertrain at all. However, the electric backup keeps SUV’s fuel economy numbers very low. According to Suzuki, the vehicle is using a 1.0-liter turbocharged engine that delivers 99 PS and 150 Nm. The mill is mated to a Suzuki Hybrid Vehicle System, which significantly boosts the efficiency. The power supplies either front- or all-wheel-drive systems via a six-speed automatic transmission.

That’s not going to be everything. The 2018 Xbee SUV offers pretty solid off-road abilities, too. It’s paired with a special grip control system for muddy terrains. The setup adjusts throttle and braking response, so you can go over the mud without any problem. In addition, there’s hill descent control, while Suzuki has added an amazing snow mode, which makes traction a far more aggressive.

Exterior and Features

Although the exterior design of the upcoming subcompact crossover looks very interesting, we can’t really say that Suzuki made anything sensational at all. No, the interesting two-tone design is something we’ve seen already. Though, the 2018 Suzuki Xbee looks really good thanks to the body bodywork. Read More

The rugged look doesn’t continue inside. Instead, the SUV delivers plenty of space for everything and everyone, as well as an Ignis’ elements. The SUV has borrowed everything. It hosts the same climate control, steering wheel, and instrument cluster, yet different upholstery. We’ve forgotten to mention that the prototype hosts a pair of LED headlights, which are unfortunately optional.

Price Range

Like we said at the very start, the 2018 Suzuki Xbee costs around $15,600, though, the fully-loaded AWD model with LEDs and everything is going to be priced at $19,000.
