2018 Toyota 86 GT: Comfort is Everything For Toyota

The 2018 Toyota 86 GT is ready and set to be released in the first months of the next year. The amazing sports car will replace the 860 Special Edition and will offer the best equipment the Japanese sports car has ever offered so far.

The new goodies are almost countless inside of the 86 GT. According to the information we have, the sports car will feed our needs with some awesome features. New seats are leather-treated and heating, but that’s not all. No, the car sports a leather-wrapped parking brake handle, too, while the impressive steering wheel looks even better with new silver contrast stitching. The new steering wheel hosts a number of additional functions including audio controls. Dual-Zone climate control and push-button start with keyless entry are standard parts of the 2018 Toyota 86 GT, as it is going to be a new 4.2-inch display, which displays a tachometer and a g-force meter, as well as the torque output.

According to the carmaker, the machine features a few changes outside, too. The car will reportedly add a pair of new LED taillights and an “underbody aerodynamic panel”. We are not so sure what this means, yet it could be some sort of splitter. The special trim will offer a few new paints, but that’s pretty much everything that’s going to be new.

The car will use the unchanged option under the hood of course. It’s a 2.0-liter flat-four with 205 hp and 151 lb-ft of torque. The engine can be paired with the smooth-shifting six-speed manual or optional six-speed automatic. Though, the auto gearbox drops the power to 200 hp. Read More

The 2018 Toyota 86GT manual will cost $29,280 including the $895 destination charge. The auto transmission forces the price to go up for another $720, yet we don’t see why would anybody pick the non-manual option.
