South Korea’s leading car manufacturer, Kia Motors, is set to launch its 2021 Sorento plug-in hybrid in Britain. The Sorento is a popular model in a series of Kia cars.
This new Kia Sorento plug-in hybrid version is equipped with a 1.6-liter turbocharged GDI four-cylinder petrol engine. This engine is capable of producing 177bhp of power. This is accompanied by an electric motor. This electric motor is capable of generating 90bhp of power.
This new Kia Sorento plug-in hybrid version comes with a 13.8 kW battery pack. Overall, the Kia Sorento plug-in hybrid version produces 261bhp of power and 350Nm of torque.
A 6-speed torque corrugator is paired with this hybrid system. Power is sent to it for four wheels. It produces low carbo dioxide and this variant is said to be the most powerful of the Sorento models.
The new Kia Sorento plug-in hybrid version delivers 57 km of mileage in electric mode. South Korean auto major Kia Motors has become a global brand.
The car sales in the Kia Motors series are just as good as those of their parent company, Hyundai. The company says the Sorento plug-in hybrid version can run up to 70 km on battery power only in cities.
The new Kia Sorento plug-in hybrid version features a Tiger Nose front grille, sleeker LED headlamps and attractive LED daytime running lights in Chrome.

In addition to this version the rear bumper has been redesigned with fog lamps, sportier front bumper, shorter overhangs, wide air inlet, vertical LED tail lamps and other variations.
The new Kia Sorento plug-in hybrid version of the cabin features a large 10.12-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a layered dashboard with upmarket finishes, a central console with AC vents, and a 12.3-inch Instrument cluster.
We expect Kia Motors to release a new Sorrento plug-in hybrid version in the Indian market. The Kia Sorento was launched in the international market in March 2020.
Kia Motors looks to release a new model every six months in India. We expect Sorrento to be introduced within the next one year.

KIA Sorento Preview
Kia Sorento was one of the exhibits at the company’s pavilion at Auto Expo 2018. The demonstrated model was the mid-life facelift version released in native and other markets only a few days before its Indian debut. Though Kia will formally make its debut in India sometime next year with the launch of its first model, Sorento is likely to be released in early 2020. As for the price of Kia Sorento in India, expect to fall inside the range of Rs. 25 to 29 Lakh (ex-showroom).
KIA Sorento Exterior
The Kia Sorento exterior will get a bunch of changes over the preceding model. On the outside, the SUV Kia Sorento will feature a chrome-finished grille at the front, while the new top-of-the line GT Line variant will receive an additional fog light. Apart from this, the top-spec variant will also pack a chrome exhaust tip at the back and red brake calipers as standard provisions.

KIA Sorento Engine & Transmission
While there is no information on the Kia Sorento specifications for the Indian market, the one sold in the international markets is available with a 2.4-litre petrol unit, a 2.0-litre oil burner and a 2.2-litre diesel unit. Apart from the eight-speed auto box, it can also be had in a six-speed manual as well as a six-speed auto unit. While the 2Wd version is standard, the 4WD variant is also available as optional.
KIA Sorento Interior
The well laid-out Kia Sorento interiors will offer enough space for the occupants and pack in a host of comfort as well as connectivity features. That said, the Kia Sorento 2018 will come layered with a new 8.0-inch infotainment system with TomTom sat nav, supported by Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It will additionally get a wireless phone charger and black leather seats.

KIA Sorento Braking and Safety
Apart from multiple airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, expect the Kia Sorento features to include an advanced driver assistance system, blind spot detection, forward collision warning system, ESC, TCS, BAS, HAC and CBC, among several others.
