2019 CHRYSLER 300: REFRESHED SEDAN GETS NEW ENGINE AND BETTER INFOTAINMENT

It isn’t secret at all that Chrysler won’t introduce any all-new models before the 2021 year. However, that doesn’t mean that they are not working on several refreshed vehicles. Moreover, our insider claims that the 2019 Chrysler 300 could bring plenty of new details inside, out, and under the hood.

Chrysler’s flagship sedan will reportedly get a new engine under the hood. According to the information we have, the existing LX platform will be suitable for the new mill. This unit will have 3.0 liters displacement, yet it will be capable of producing up to 400 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of twist, which makes it the perfect candidate for the sportier 300S trim. Of course, the engine will be mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission which will send power to rear- or all four wheels. The base 300 will keep its existing 3.6-liter engine, but in place of current 292 hp, the 2019 model will get all 300 ponies.

Since it’s going to keep the existing platform, the 2019 Chrysler 300 will also keep its footprint unchanged. However, the exterior styling will receive certain changes, especially in the ends. Yes, the full-size sedan will sport a new nose with a bit redesigned grille and a pair of new headlights. The carmaker won’t skip the chance to add new wheels as well, while the rear end should feature restyled taillights. Of course, the vehicle will be additionally refreshed with a few new exterior colors. Inside, the luxurious cabin might receive a bit redesigned dashboard and perhaps new upholstery. As we have heard, the updated infotainment will feature standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which is not the case with the current model.

The refreshed 2019 Chrysler 300 will be introduced late next year, which leaves us plenty of time for updates. After all, we haven’t managed to catch any prototype yet, so we are sure there will be more reliable information in the coming months.
