2018 Maserati Ghibli Spied Facelifted Again

We are always happy to see Maserati’s testing vehicles, but this prototype won’t bring anything to important without any doubt. Well, at least nothing astonishing from the outside. You are looking in the 2018 Maserati Ghibli that appears to feature a little bit refreshed front and rear ends. The Italian carmaker will also add a new trim level scheme but do not expect any important changes in the infotainment because they introduced a new 8.4-inch central display with the 2017 model. On the other hand, you will be very pleased to hear what’s cooking under the hood.

The 2018 Maserati Ghibli will definitely get more power from its twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine. Judging by the information we have, the manufacturer won’t add just a few horses here. In contrast to today’s 410 horsepower, the refreshed Ghibli S will likely feature around 450 horses. The base model currently delivers 345 hp, but the updated model should get 30 ponies more. Of course, an eight-speed automatic stays the only transmission option, while an all-wheel-drive comes as an option once again. Read More

As you may see, the styling changes are mostly cosmetic. The 2018 Ghibli is getting some tweaks on the grille and restyled headlights, while everything else stays unchanged. We are not completely sure, yet the new grille seems a bit bigger or features more prominent pillars. It’s pretty much the same story in the back. The car will probably get a pair of redesigned taillights, maybe a bit revamped bumper, but nothing else new.

The new trim scheme isn’t anything revolutionary at all, but instead of today’s Luxury and Sport equipment packages, the car manufacturer will probably add GranLusso and GranSport trims. Maserati did that with the new Quattroporte, so they won’t skip the Ghibli for sure.
