2019 CADILLAC CT6 SPIED CAMOUFLAGED: GETS A NEW 4.2-LITER TWIN-TURBO

Cadillac’s CT6 has been around since 2016, but even though it’s quite new, the car manufacturer is planning some changes for its full-size sedan. We managed to catch an early prototype, yet do not expect to see the final version anytime soon. No, the refreshed vehicle will be introduced in late 2018 as the 2019 Cadillac CT6.

Judging by the spy shots we have, the facelifted CT6 will host a number of cosmetic changes. The camouflage hides almost everything, yet our insider claims that the prototype might borrow plenty of details from the gorgeous Escala concept, which is really encouraging news. The concept provides quite simple, yet very effective exterior styling that will fit perfectly to the 2019 Cadillac CT6. We expect to see the same grille, bumper and perhaps headlights, yet nothing more. don’t get us wrong, it would be great if the sedan gets the seductive body lines as well, but the chances of seeing something like that are minimal.

The interior will also get a slice of the mid-cycle refresh. However, don’t expect anything radical at all. As far as we think, the sedan might use Cadillac’s newer version of the CUE infotainment system and perhaps a higher number of electronic driving aids. Of course, the entire cab will be freshened up with new upholstery.

Under the hood, the 2019 Cadillac CT6 will feature the biggest changes. According to our sources, the carmaker is currently working on its all-new engine, most likely the 4.2-liter twin-turbocharged V8 that’s going to be capable of producing almost 500 horsepower. As for the plug-in hybrid model, it won’t get anything new at all, while the CT6-V won’t come for sure.
