2019 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER IS COMING BACK: SPY SHOTS AND RUMORS

Well, this is really good news! Chevrolet is bringing back the iconic Trailblazer nameplate in the coming years. At least the latest rumors and spy photos suggest that. Yes, we managed to catch a prototype that appears to be the rumored vehicle, but no we have no official confirmation from the Chevrolet. However, judging by the shots, the all-new 2019 Chevy Trailblazer is getting a completely new purpose.

No, we haven’t measured this testing model, yet it’s quite clear that it features a mid-size footprint. This suggests either an ultra-cozy five-seat arrangement or seating for seven. In either way, there will be plenty of space for sure. We know that because the 2019 Trailblazer will ride on the same platform as the new generation GMC Acadia. And since GMC’s mid-sizer offers cozy seating, we are sure that Chevrolet’s future SUV won’t lack space for sure.

The amazing C1XX architecture won’t be the only thing that the new generation Trailblazer is borrowing from the Acadia. No, the crossover will use the same engine as well. It’s an outstanding 3.6-liter V6 option capable of producing 310 ponies. The new high-riding vehicle would likely use one more engine. We are not so sure what the carmaker plans to add, yet our bets go for the impressive 2.0-liter turbo that delivers 252 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. Both options will be paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, but the V6 might also get an optional nine-speed gearbox.

It’s pretty complicated to figure out what’s beneath the heavy camo. However, we think that we know what’s cooking down there. In case you think that the 2019 Chevrolet Trailblazer want anything else but a bit redesigned Equinox, look again and you will notice a completely different approach. The upcoming Trailblazer is getting bulkier bodywork, more alike to the GMC Acadia. This way the carmaker perhaps is trying to point up SUV’s off-road nature.
