Believe it or no, today’s Land Rover’s compact crossover is pretty much the same as the original Evoque that was introduced in 2011. Okay, the carmaker brought certain cosmetic tweaks here and there, but this is still nothing. Still, the SUV is still very popular and desirable option worldwide. The manufacturer plans to build the new generation model in the near future, but don’t expect to see the production-ready model before late 2018.
The first mule of the 2019 Rand Rover Evoque has been spotted a few days ago. The testing model can’t tell us much, but we managed to figure out what’s going on. It seems that the compact crossover uses a new platform. The architecture won’t have any influence on SUV’s size, but it will make it totally different. According to our sources, the next-generation Evoque will be lighter and more rigid from the current model. It should also keep the wheelbase untouched, while the rear overhang might be slightly shortened. The mule suggests points out higher ride height and raised wheel arches, as well as a new suspension setup. The maker won’t skip the chance to bring certain cosmetic changes inside and out, yet the redesigned will be rather evolutionary than revolutionary.
2019 Range Rover Evoque: Engine Options
Under the hood, the 2019 Evoque will get a number of new options. We can bet on XE’s 2.0-liter gasoline unit.
