The guys from Autoevolution.com managed to catch a partly camouflaged 2018 MINI Cooper S. More precisely, the prototype of the interesting hatchback features small changes in the front and rear, and nothing more.
The car manufacturer covered headlights and grille in the front, which means that the facelifted model is getting some new design cues right there. In addition, a small part of the hood is also getting slight cosmetic changes, while everything else stays untouched there. Around back, the Copper S model will receive a pair of redesigned taillights and revised rear bumper.
We can’t really know whether the carmaker prepares anything new for the interior, but it’s quite possible that the cab might feature some new color options and updated technologies. Aside of the latest infotainment, the hot hatch might get better driver assistance systems and improved safety kit.
Under the hood, the refreshed 2018 MINI Cooper S will get no changes for sure. It will continue to use a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with 189 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque. Of course, you can choose between six-speed automatic and manual gearboxes.
Stay tuned for updates.
